Theta Omega Chapter announced the fiscal 2020 scholarship
winners. A total of $5,000 in scholarships were awarded to local college-bound
high school students. The Theta Omega Chapter scholarship program aims to
supplement to the mentoring program by recognizing, encouraging, and aiding
high performing high school seniors with financial assistance.
Theta Omega Chapter made scholarship awards in four categories: Legacy award,
Lee Bowman Memorial Scholarship, Jim and Eva Green scholarship, and Men of
Quality Scholarship. Two Legacy Scholarships were awarded. One Legacy award
to Delquan Dorsey Jr. son of Bro. Delquan Dorsey Sr. and a second Legacy
Award to Miss Baylee Ervin, granddaughter of the late Bro. Willie Smith (past 5 th
district DR). The Lee Bowman Scholarship was awarded to Aaron Suggs. The Jim
and Eva Green scholarship awarded to Micah Speaks. The Men of Quality
Scholarship was awarded to Alan Liggin.
