Brother Ibn Green, a name synonymous with excellence in tight end play, was unveiled as part of the prestigious 2023 class of the University of Louisville Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony, held in a formal gathering on Friday, October 27th, was a testament to Green's unparalleled contributions to the UofL football program.

A unanimous choice for many as the greatest tight end in the history of UofL's football program, Brother Green's impact is etched in the school record books. Holding records for both receiving yards and touchdowns among tight ends, he left an indelible mark during his time with the Cardinals. His senior season saw him being named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, a fitting acknowledgment of his prowess on the field.

Before his stellar career at the University of Louisville, Brother Green showcased his athletic prowess at Louisville's Male High School, where he also earned a place in their Hall of Fame—an early testament to the promising career that lay ahead.

Following his collegiate success, Brother Green continued to make waves in the professional arena. Despite going undrafted, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent, and was able to make significant contributions during his four seasons in the NFL.

The formal induction ceremony on October 27th was a gathering of fellow honorees, former teammates, and well-wishers who came together to honor Brother Green's remarkable journey in the world of football. The celebration continued on October 28th at halftime of the UofL game against Duke, where Brother Green was once again recognized, along with members of his family, for his enduring legacy.

Currently, Brother Green is working as a Safety Administrator for Jefferson County Public schools where he works to ensure that school facilities are secure and helps build positive climates and fosters trusting relationships between students, staff and parents.
